Introduction of Dzogchen

Brought to Dzogchen by seeming chance to spend time in retreat and medicaiton, Drs. James and Li Xin were asked by Dzogchen Rinpoche if they would help with the opening of the monastery's Kalsang Philanthropic Hospital. Feeling that there was no way to refuse this simple request from such an eminent Buddhist leader, they began with a simple yet diligently executed plan to enroll volunteer help. After nearly one year of preparation and work, they plus another volunteer, Dr. Jason Young, brought in a team of doctors and eye surgeons to provide free medical care. After the smooth completion of their 2006 mission, they are planning for the medical team to return each year, plus adding additional needed medical services.

James said "Life gave me a chance to help others. I'm just one person doing what I can to help."
